Virtual care, or telehealth, is the process of providing healthcare by electronic technology, such as Zoom. This allows you to meet with our physicians to discuss your health challenges while receiving advice, education, health monitoring, and guidance on the next steps of your journey. You can access our Functional Medicine physicians and practitioners via Zoom. Zoom is a leader in modern enterprise video communications, with an easy, reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, chat, and webinars. Access is simple, with a link sent to you that can be opened on your phone, tablet or computer.

The simplicity of Zoom means that your physicians can share their screens (showing you what is on their screens) when discussing results or educating you about your condition, providing you with live information and data.

Yes, we hold your privacy and well-being at the top of our concerns. All our virtual care appointments are secure and HIPAA compliant, ensuring everything is secure.

Yes, you can. You have the advantage of recording your whole session so that you can view it at a later date.

Yes, since the pandemic, virtual meetings have been more common with professional business platforms, such as Zoom. Even though we can do initial consultations virtually, we do not diagnose or treat without the patient travelling to Calgary to undergo a thorough assessment by the team. Once you have done the in-person assessments in Calgary, our team may offer advice and consultation via Zoom. You must visit the office once per calendar year in order to remain a patient of the clinic.

 

Alternatively, we can offer health coaching services that offer health advice but not medical care, diagnosis or treatment. The health coaching services we offer do not take the place of medical diagnosis and treatment.

We support all Canadians seeking better health. However, each provincial regulator (e.g. the provincial medical regulators) has different licensing requirements for clinicians providing telemedicine outside of their own licensing jurisdiction. Depending on the province you live in, our clinicians may be able to provide care to you virtually. 


The CPSA (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta) permits us to offer virtual care/virtual appointments  if you live in Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia. While we may be able to offer initial consultations virtually, we cannot diagnose or treat without the patient travelling to Calgary to undergo a thorough assessment in clinic. Once you have done the in-person assessments in Calgary, depending on where you live in Canada, our team may be able to offer advice and consultation via Zoom.
